Welcome from the Head of School

I am delighted to welcome you to Rowan High School, proudly part of the Mersey View Learning Trust and the Rowan Schools family. 

At Rowan High School, we support pupils with an EHCP and a primary diagnosis of Autism. Everything we do is driven by our core values of Respect, Integrity and Ambition, which shape our learning, relationships and aspirations for every young person. 

Children are at the heart of every decision we make. We are committed to creating a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment where every pupil feels valued, develops a strong sense of belonging and is encouraged to achieve their very best. 

We are ambitious for all our learners and believe that potential should never be limited by barriers or labels. Our curriculum is designed to inspire curiosity, build confidence and develop independence. Through high-quality teaching, personalised support and consistently high expectations, we ensure every pupil can access meaningful learning opportunities and make excellent progress from their individual starting points. 

We follow the full National Curriculum and are committed to securing the very best outcomes at GCSE and beyond. Alongside academic success, we provide a wide range of enrichment opportunities that help pupils discover new interests, develop leadership skills and prepare for the next stage of their lives. 

Inclusion is at the centre of all that we do. We celebrate the unique strengths, interests and aspirations of every pupil, removing barriers to learning and participation so that all young people can experience success, build confidence and realise their limitless potential. 

Our aim is for every pupil to leave Rowan High School as a confident, independent and resilient young person, ready to contribute positively to their local and wider community. We want our pupils to know that they can aspire, achieve and thrive.
